Interview Prep Weekend
Your passion and skills combined to ignite your interview.
Job interviews bring up big feelings.
Fear, excitement, stress, hope.
Even if you’re passionate about your work and experienced in your sector, it can still be a challenge to talk about your work.
But don’t worry. The Interview Prep Weekend is designed to boost your confidence and prepare you for upcoming interviews.
The practical part of interview preparation helps you come up with stories, structure them well, and gain confidence through practice.
But the heart of this work is helping you see your own amazingness and know you can go for big things.
Let’s look at where you are now.
Does this sound like you?
"There’s a role I want, but I’m not confident I can convince the interviewers I’m right for it."
"My interview preparation feels disorganized, and I want to know that I’m ready."
"I keep getting interviews, but not offers."
“I know what I want to say but I don’t know the right story to tell."
"It’s been a while since my last interview, and I want to brush up on my skills.”
If you find yourself nodding along, rest assured that you're not alone. I understand the frustration and uncertainty you may have. But it doesn't have to stay that way. I'm here to help you build the necessary skills and boost your confidence in interviewing.

Optional Add-On: 1-on-1 Interview Coaching with Karen
To go even deeper in applying what you’ve learned in the Interview Prep Weekend, I invite you to add on 1-on-1 Interview Coaching with me. These conversations are a private space where you can practice your prepped interview answers and address your specific concerns or challenges.
What can you expect from 1:1 interview coaching?
Personalized Feedback: I’ll provide tailored feedback on your answers, highlighting what’s working as well as what could be improved. We’ll refine your responses to make them more impactful.
Addressing Missing Elements: I have a very sensitive “So what?” meter. If your stories fall flat and don’t make an impression, I get curious and ask probing questions. We’ll fill in any gaps or clarify any points that may be unclear, ensuring your responses are well-rounded and comprehensive.
Safe Space for Imperfection: We work through your interview stories from exactly where you are, and I’ll guide you in developing compelling narratives that showcase your skills and experiences effectively.
Overcoming Blocks: Sometimes in interview preparation, we need to address deeper issues that may be holding you back during interviews. I’ll bring in life coaching tools where necessary to find a different perspective and help you overcome obstacles that are preventing you from showing up the way you want to.
My years of career coaching + former recruiter perspective + life coaching tools = overcoming any interview challenge.
Testimonial
“I was worried about messing up an opportunity I really wanted and I thought I could use help. I had been out of the workforce for 10 years and I needed to feel confident that I could handle it.
I knew you had experience with all sides of interviews. You could look at all angles, and give me an objective view of how to do my best. The other thing I knew about you - that you’re able to see people’s strengths and translate them back to themself.
It helped to practice story questions out loud, and to hear your responses because you’d laugh or groan. It was like hearing them for the first time. And you were able to tease out where stories would work in an interview. To hear your reflection of my strengths that shone through those stories - you saw something that I didn’t see.
I felt calm and centred on the day of the interview. I wasn’t stressed; I was feeling prepared. I had a list of stories to tell. Things weren’t always asked the way I expected, but I was able to look at my list and choose what I wanted to say. Feeling calm and ready was huge. I left the interview happy with how it went. ”
